Barcelona – Osasuna
>Barcelona are going to host Osasuna at the Camp Nou in a fixture from the 11th round of La Liga. Here we are to preview it for you in these next few paragraphs. Let’s get to work.
Barcelona are a team which is desperate to improve in the Spanish league. Since the beginning of the season Los Cules won just three of their eight matches so far. Because of this Ronald Koeman’s team is 13th in the standings with 11 points won. Barca are currently 12 points behind the current leader Real Sociedad, but they have played two games less as well.
Last weekend Barcelona lost for a third time in La Liga this season. The Catalans had a very tough visit to Atletico Madrid in the capital. It was a competitive game, but a mistake by Marc-Andre ter Stegen allowed Yannick Carrasco to score a winner at the end of the first half. In the second half Barca tried to equalise, but they didn’t create any good opportunities. The only exception was a header from Clement Lenglet, but the ball went into Jan Oblak’s hands.
During the week Barcelona had a game in the Champions League as well. Ronald Koeman gave a rest to some of his stars, including Lionel Messi, but Barca played well and achieved a 4-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv on Ukrainian soil.
Osasuna are just one position behind Barcelona in the standings. The Pamplonians are 14th in the table with 11 points – as much as Barca have at the moment.
Last week Osasuna made their second draw for the season. Arrasate’s team faced Huesca at the El Sadar and the game ended with a 1-1 draw. David Garcia scored Osasuna’s only goal in the game.
These are our thoughts and preview for the La Liga fixture between Barcelona and Osasuna at the Camp Nou. Good luck with this one!
