Luka Doncic was voted “Best Player” in the third round of the regular Euroleague season. The prize is a fifth in the career of the 18-year-old star and the first for him in the 2017/2018 season. Talent is expected to become the MVP in the third duel of the strongest European tournament after his performance at the Olympia victory was near perfect.
Doncič played 28 minutes and scored 27 points – 5/9 for 2 points, 2/5 for 3 points and 11/12 for penal line. The Slovenian national finished 41 points, making it the most efficient of all players in this round after 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 balls, 1 fault and 10 violations.
His excellent game turned him into the youngest player in the modern history of the Euroleague, achieving a score of 40 points. So far, the leadership was held by Nikola Pekovich.
The talented guard scored the most points in the round with his 27th. Tornique Shengelia and Augustine Rubit were the best 11-time fighters and Jason Granger , Sergio Rodriguez and Alexei Swede shared leadership with the runners with 9 assists each. Kyle Hines and Dogus Balbai led the “thieves” with 4 balls removed and Arturas Gudajtis from Olympia was the best blocker with 4 umbrellas.
