Basketball News – WNBA

It’s summer and we all think about our holidays, but in the WNBA the action never stops. The best female basketball players on the planet continue to show their worth, playing against each other in the strongest competition in the world.

On Monday New York Liberty managed to beat Chicago Sky on the road, winning the bout with 86-82. Meanwhile Phoenix Mercury didn’t give a chance to San Antonio Stars, winning the bout with 81-64.

An hour later Minnesota Lynx also achieved another win in the WNBA by overpowering Seattle Storm with 93-82.

Right now Minnesota Lynx are the leader in the Western Conference. They have 19 wins and just 2 losses. They are followed by Los Angeles Sparks, Phoenix Mercury and Dallas Wings, who are curently taking a position in the playoff zone of the conference. For now Seattle Storm and San Antonio Stars are the two teams out of the playoff zone in the Western Conference.

We can say that San Antonio Stars are currently the weakest team in the WNBA. There’s no other team who have worst stats than them in the league right now.

In the Eastern Conference Connecticut Sun are leading the table with 14 wins and 9 losses. They are followed in the playoff zone by Washington Mystics, New York Liberty and Atlanta Dream. Out of the playoff zone we can currently find Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky.

On Tuesday night we will have the chance to witness the game between San Antonio Stars and New York Liberty.

On Thursday there’s rest, but on Friday we are back in action with the match between Minnesota Lynx and Atlanta Dream.

On Saturday night, as always, there are a lot of matches to see. Indiana Fever – Chicago Sky, Connecticut Sun – Phoenix Mercury and San Antonio Stars – Washington Mystics just to name a few.
