The week in the WNBA started with five games on Monday, which offered us some fine basketball by the best female players on the planet.
Minnesota Lynx hosted Phoenix Mercury and achieved a 81-66 win in front of their own fans. Meanwhile Dallas Wings and Chicago Sky had to play extra time, before Dallas finally win the match with 112-106.
In the same day New York Liberty achieved a win over Washington Mystics (85-55), while Connecticut Sun won against San Antonio Stars with 89-75. In the last match for the day Seattle Storm achieved a 90-84 win over Atlanta Dream at home.
On Tuesday we had the chance to witness two more matches from the WNBA. Atlanta Dream managed to beat San Antonio Stars with 88-75, while Los Angeles Sparks won against Indiana Fever with 80-62.
Five more games we watched on Wednesday night. In Phoenix we saw how Indiana Fever returned to home with a 77-84 win. Meanwhile Minnesota Lynx beat Dallas Wings with 100-74. Washington Mystics and Atlanta Dream played extra time, before Mystics win the game with 100-96. In the other two matches for the day, New York Liberty won against Connecticut Sun (96-80) and Chicago Sky won their visit to Seattle Storm with 83-94.
On Thursday there was just one game. Los Angeles Sparks hosted Chicago Sky, but they suffered a 80-82 defeat in a very competitive game.
On Friday we saw San Antonio Stars winning its home game against Indiana Fever with 85-61.
Minnesota Lynx are leading the standings in the Western Conference of the WNBA with 16 wins from 18 games. Los Angeles Sparks, Phoenix Mercury and Dalas Wings are the other three teams in the playoff zone of the Western Conference at the moment.
Meanwhile Connecticut Sun are ahead of everybody else in the Eastern Conference with 12 wins and 9 losses from 21 games played. Washington Mystics, New York Liberty and Atlanta Dream are also enjoying a place in the playoff zone at this moment.
