Chelsea welcomes the newcomer Sheffield United

Chelsea welcomes the newcomer Sheffield United in a game from the fourth round of the Premier League. Let’s discuss this clash at the Stamford Bridge for a few minutes.

Chelsea’s new manager Frank Lampard is breathing more freely now after securing his first win with the Blues in the Premier League. This happened in the previous round when Chelsea visited Norwich City and fought for a difficult, but sweet 3-2 win at the Carrow Road. It was not an easy game for Chelsea’s young team, but the Londoners prevailed with two goals from Tammy Abraham and one from Mason Mount. The Blues really needed this win and they achieved it.

After this win, Chelsea are now 13th in the league with 4 points won. But there’s no need to panic, because the difference with the 4th Leicester City is just one point. The Blues are currently 13th mainly because of their goal difference, which is negative right now after the heavy loss against Manchester United in the first round.

Sheffield United have the same amount of poinst after the first three rounds – 4. The Blades can be satisfied with the way they started the campaign.

In the previous round Sheffield United suffered their first loss, though. Chris Wilder’s team hosted Leicester City at the Bramall Lane, but lost the game with 1-2. Oliver McBurnie scored for the hosts, but the Foxes took the win with goals from Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes.

Chelsea’s manager Frank Lampard has some problems with injured players before this game. The world champion Ngolo Kante is missing the next match, while the German defender Antonio Rudiger is also recovering from an injury. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek also remain sidelined.

Meanwhile Sheffield United’s John Fleck is missing the game for the visitors.

That’s what we had to say about the Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Sheffield United on Saturday. Good luck.
