Football News – Crotone-Fiorentina
Crotone hosts Fiorentina in a match from the 11th round of the Italian Serie A.
After doing a true miracle and surviving in the last round of the last campaign, now Crotone are 17th in the Serie A standings after ten games being played. The team have 6 points won so far and a record of one win, three draws and six losses. We can hardly say that their performance so far is impressive, but at least for now they are out of the relegation zone.
Just as expected, Fiorentina are doing better than Crotone. La Viola are currently 7th in the league standings with 16 points won so far and a record of five wins, one draw and four losses. We should note though that Fiorentina are in a brilliant run of three consecutive wins, recorded over Udinese, Benevento and Torino.
In same time Crotone lost their last two games and they made four consecutive matches without a win in the Serie A.
Time for some team news.
Crotone can’t use the injured Marco Tumminello, while Oliver Kragl is doubtful for the next game because of a thigh injury. The good news come from the recovery of the Bulgarian international Aleksandar Tonev, who is now recovered and ready to play once again.
Fiorentina still don’t know if they’d be able to use the injured Cyril Thereau, while Ricardo Saponara is once again fit and ready to return to action.
It’s clear that Fiorentina are the favourite here, based on overall quality and current form. The club from Florence is showing very good shape in the last few games, while we can’t say the same about Crotone. But have in mind that Crotone have the home ground advantage here and this is a factor which should not be underrestimated. Good luck!
