Hungary – France

Let’s head out to the Puskas Arena in Budapest because this is where Hungary will face France in a game from Group F of the European Championship. Are you here for the preview?

Hungary suffered a 0-3 loss in their first match in the group, but at the same time their performance against Portugal was kind of decent. Until the 84th minute the Magyars kept a clean sheet, but they didn’t find a way to survive until the end and win a point. They also had a goal disallowed because of offside, but generally it was a nice performance by the underdog in this group. The fans were satisfied with the hunger their players showed on the pitch.

Now Hungary’s task is even more difficult because they face the reigning world champion. Most likely the Magyars will welcome a more defensive approach, just like they did against the Portuguese side. And just like we’d expect from them.

France are moving according to their plan so far. Les Bleus kicked off their campaign with a win in the first game against Germany. Didier Deschamps’ team achieved a 1-0 win at the Allianz Arena after Mats Hummels scored himself an own goal after a cross made by Lucas Hernandez.

France looked fluid and good against Germany. The new attacking trio of Antoine Griezmann, Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe looks formidable for the opponents. Meanwhile N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba did a lot of work in midfield which made it even more difficult for the Germans to react. Can somebody stop France at the Euro this year? It would be difficult for sure.

That’s our preview for the Euro 2020 match between Hungary and France in Budapest. The Magyars are complete underdogs in this game and it’d be shocking of they take something from the world champions. It should be an easy one for France, right?
