Levante – Barcelona
Levante hosts Barcelona in a match from the 12th round of the Spanish La Liga. This game is going to be played on Saturday at the Estadio Cuidad de Valencia.
At this moment Levante are exactly in the middle of the standings, being 10th with 14 points won. Their record in the league so far shows four wins, two draws and five losses. Paco Lopez’ team is doing a decent job so far, being able to keep its place in the middle of the standings. As long as Levante are not in the relegation zone, this is fine for them.
Levante are hosting Barcelona in a positive mood, winning their last game in the league against one of the teams in the best shape in the league – Real Sociedad. The Basques were favourites to take the win at the Anoeta, but Levante surprisingly secured a 2-1 win. Enis Bardhi and Borja Mayoral scored for Levante in the first half, while La Real scored just once via Willian Jose.
Enjoying a run of five consecutive wins at the moment, Barcelona are leading the La Liga standings with 22 points. They are one point ahead of the 2nd Real Madrid. The club’s manager Ernesto Valverde is not loved by the fans, but the facts show that brought back his team to the top of the league again.
On Tuesday Barca enjoyed their 7th win in La Liga for the season, hosting Real Valladolid and beating them with 5-1. Lionel Messi scored a brace, while Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal and Clement Lenglet also scored for Los Cules. Kiko Olivas scored Valladolid’s only goal in the game.
We are sure that Levante will offer a lot of fight to Barcelona as they are usually doing against every opponent at their ground. Barca will have to mobilize in order to win this one.
