Liverpool – Tottenham
If you don’t have an idea what to do on Sunday, here’s our idea – just watch the Premier League game between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur from the 10th round of the competition. These two teams will face each other at the Anfield, meeting for a first time since their Champions League final in Madrid.
Last weekend Liverpool lost points for a first time this season. The Reds faced their archrival Manchester United at the Old Trafford, but only won a point with a 1-1 draw. United were just 5 minutes away from winning this game, but the substitute Adam Lallana equalised for Liverpool. Because of this draw, Liverpool are now 6 points ahead of Manchester City instead of the 8 points advantage they had.
Against Manchester United Liverpool were without their Egyptian ace Mohamed Salah, who was recovering from an injury. The good news are that Salah returned during the 4-1 win over Genk in the Champions League. He even scored one of the goals, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored twice. Sadio Mane also put the ball behind the goalkeeper Gaetan Coucke’s back.
The return of Mo Salah is great news for Liverpoo. Against Tottenham the manager Jurgen Klopp will have the opportunity to use his deadly offensive trio, formed of Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Tottenham Hotspur also had a game in the Champions League, which they won. The last season’s finalists make a good comeback after the 2-7 defeat against Bayern Munich, beating Crvena Zvezda with 5-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min scored braces for Mauricio Pochettino’s team, while Erik Lamela also put his name on the score sheet.
Just few days after their Champions League games, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur will offer some great Premier League derby once again. Liverpool are always favourites at the Anfield, but every team which underrestimates Spurs, usually suffers.
