Manchester City are still trying to win the Champions League for a first time in their history. We thought they had a good chance to do it last season, but Pep Guardiola’s team got surprisingly eliminated by French side Olympique Lyonnais. Now they have to try again.

The Champions League draw sent City in one group with Olympique Marseille, Olympiakos and Porto. They are in a good position to qualify for the knockout phase again.

During the weekend Man City showed some good football and won the derby against Arsenal in the Premier League. Raheem Sterling scored the only goal for the Cityzens in the 1-0 win at the Etihad. Guardiola really surprised Mikel Arteta with his decisions, including putting Joao Cancelo in midfield. Nobody really expected that from the Catalan manager.

The great news for City is the return of Sergio Aguero. The Argentine striker missed the last few months because of injury, but now he’s back in action.

Porto are the reigning champions of Portugal. Last season they won the Primeira Liga for a 29th time in their history. The Dragons remain the most successful club in the country. They are two time Champions League winners as well.

During the weekend Porto faced Sporting CP in one of the big Portuguese derbies. The game at the Jose Alvalade ended with an exciting 2-2 draw. Mateus Uribe and Jesus Corona scored for the visitors in this game.
