Roma – Juventus

Roma faces the champion Juventus at the Olimpico in the big derby of the second round of the Serie A. These two great teams will face each other on Sunday, so let’s get a quick preview of the game.

Roma didn’t start the new season in the best way possible. Because of a roster error, the Wolves were fined with a 0-3 defeat in the first game against Hellas Verona. The problem was the midfielder Amadou Diawara who should have not been on the pitch in Verona. So, this is the situation for Roma right now – against Juventus they will try to win their first points for the 2020/21 season.

The new signing Pedro Rodriguez made a debut for the Wolves and played 90 minutes against Hellas Verona. Meanwhile Edin Dzeko didn’t feature because he’s linked with a transfer to another club at the moment.

Juventus started the new season with a bang and a 3-0 win against Sampdoria. This was an official debut for the new manager Andrea Pirlo who replaced the sacked Maurizio Sarri. Pirlo brought some fresh energy in the team and we all saw this against Sampdoria.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal for the season while the new signing Dejan Kulusevski and Leonardo Bonucci scored as well for the Bianconeri. It was a fine performance by Juventus.

In his first game Andrea Pirlo chose a 3-5-2 formation. He put Ronaldo and Kulusevski in attack while Aaron Ramsey played in a close distande to the two strikers. The new signing from Barcelona Arthur didn’t play and remained on the bench for the whole 90 minutes.

Can Juventus make it two from two against Roma on Sunday? Most certainly they can. Their first match under Andrea Pirlo was a successful one, so the fans are hopeful. Roma won’t just hand them the win, though – you can be sure about this.
