West Ham United – Bournemouth

West Ham United hosts Bournemouth in a match from the second round of the English Premier League. Let’s check it out and see what’s the situation with these two teams.

West Ham’s new manager Manuel Pellegrini didn’t have the start he dreamed about. The Hammers were crushed with 0-4 by Liverpool, being totally outplayed by Jurgen Klopp’s boys. There are a lot of hopes among West Ham’s fans after the arrival of Manuel Pellegrini, so now against Bournemouth they are going to expect a first win for the new campaign.

Against Liverpool we saw some of West Ham’s new players in action. Lucacz Fabianski, Jack Wilshere, Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko were all seen in action against the Reds, but they didn’t help their team a lot at the Anfield. The truth is that right now Liverpool are just a different class to West Ham, so nothing shocking really happened last week.

West Ham are clearly a work in progress right now. We are sure that they are going to get better, but Pellegrini surely needs some time in order to fix everything. Can they show improvement in the next game? We are about to see that.

Bournemouth started the new campaign in the best way possible – with a win. Eddie Howe’s boys defeated the newcomer Cardiff City at home. Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson scored the winning goals for the home team, which is currently 3rd in the Premier League standings after thi first round.

It’d be interesting to see what West Ham are going to show against Bournemouth. They have an exciting project, but they didn’t have the best start against Liverpool. As for Bournemoith, they started the new campaign winning, which is the most important thing for them. Once again, for them the fight for survival won’t be easy.
