World Cup – France-Australia
One of the big favourites for winning the World Cup France faces Australia in a first game from Group C of the competition. This clash is going to be played at the Kazan Arena in Kazan. Here are out betting reviews for it.
The talented squad of France is regarded as one of the possible winners of the World Cup. Didier Deschamps’ squad is filled with talented individuals and superstars, who are hungry for success. Especially after losing the Euro 2016 final against Portugal two years ago. Everyone in France expects to see this French team at the top of the world.
Australia on the other hand are regarded as underdogs in this group, being in the company of France, Peru and Denmark. The Socceroos reached the World Cup after winning a playoff against Honduras. They are not a country with rich traditions at the World Cup, so it’s understandable why nobody gives them any chance to trouble France. But how we know – every team at the World Cup shall be respected, including the underdogs like Australia.
The French team played seven friendlies after winning the first place in its group during the qualifiers. Les Blues suffered just one defeat in these friendlies – against Colombia. They won against Wales, Russia, Ireland and Italy and made two draws against the world champion Germany and USA. We can say that France did well in these friendly games, with the loss against Colombia being the only exception.
Australia played just four friendly matches after the playoff against Honduras. Bert van Marwijk’s boys did pretty well, winning two of these games – against Czech Republic and Hungary, making one draw against Colombia and suffering just one defeat against Norway. Especially impressive was Australia’s performance against the solid team of the Czech Republic, which the Socceroos managed to beat with 4-0.
PSG’s striker Kylian Mbappe worried the French fans with an injury he recieved during a training few days ago. But now there’s no reason to worry, because everything with Mbappe is fine and he’s ready to start the match. Everyone wants to see how he’s going to partner with the star striker Antoine Griezmann in the forward line. These two players are part of the reason why France are regarded as a big favourite for the trophy.
With the veteran Tim Cahill expected to start the game on the bench, Aaron Mooy is the player to watch in the Australian squad. The 27-years old midfielder of Huddersfield Town is one of the best players in Van Marwijk’s team, so his performance will be very important for the team.
We think that France are going to win this game with a few goals of difference. This is their first game at the World Cup and they will want to impress. Playing against Australia is a perfect opportunity for this. We are going to see some goals in this clash and most probably all of them will be scored by the French team.
